In the sect Opus Dei militant many characters and little character of the Partido Popular (PP), a political party that brings together the current law in Spain.
Famous examples of PP that are members of the sect (in May 2002):

1. Federico Trillo - Defense

2. Isabel Tocino - former Minister of Environment

3. Loyola de Palacio - former Minister and current European Commission Vice President

I wonder who else are members of Opus Dei, both in the government of Spain and all public bodies, as well as celebrities who belong to the sect. Please, if you have data, add it to this issue.
Oh, and of course he believes. Freedom of opinion is something that Opus denies its followers, but not me.

Marcelo, in this we agree!! I never got into politics (even some people of different political opus, and nothing happens with that ... it's like any group of people) and almost even in the professional (here I say almost, because the subject of some authors who were not "desirable" if he had any issue ...)
In reality, no matter if a public person is the Opus, Catholic Action, a fan of a club, or whatever...

I wonder who qualify based on the Opus Dei sect, being an institution of the Catholic Church like any other (and there are many), legally established in Spain and in many countries around the world. Nor is that you base say there is no freedom of opinion in Opus Dei. It takes a little more strict when it comes to state things. Fijate, Opus Dei is the 1st institution of the Catholic Church which has among its members non-Catholics and even non-Christian. I recommend that if you want reliable and no nonsense hoaxes and thou comest at sources. The information office of Opus Dei really is looking forward to you.

Mr Guest, I feel so real you have eaten coconuts. How can you have freedom of opinion if only you can read above what you can? How freedom presume when you read your mail, entering and exiting? How can you be so naive? For God's sake!
Do you believe that your sacrifices do not will be rejected in the sky? Do you think God is a sadist and that only annoyed by sackcloth and others you can earn your love?
By God, you acknowledge that you are a sect, do not allow more innocent fall into the clutches of the white mob, nay white, black and more sinister than.

Storni Bishop of Opus Dei is not. Now I wonder if Opus Dei was that serious the problem is the same, is the same as immoral and has done a great disservice by not representing the church and member. I do not like the accusations kid.
The mystery of holiness is not sinlessness but sinners recognize, approach the Lord with humility and contrition and begin and begin again each day.
I care less if Mos. Storni is whether or not the work, I care who has done a great damage

Some people are saying we do not care if a person having official duties or otherwise involving decisions that affect us the rest are members of Opus, but I think that having a vision is not very democratic. Everyone has a right to aspire to such positions as we are all entitled to know your ideas and even more if they belong to organizations that qualify as a cult. What should be explained is because Opus clearly does not say who its members. What's to hide if they feel so proud of it?.

Like Peter you have not appeared for the forum, I would venture to take up this issue shortly after the canonization of Saint Josemaria, since many people who belong to Opus or sympathize with his ideas (many of them do not recognize) have passed through Rome for this act and is a good time so we know they have links with Opus Dei and some kind of institutional power.
Then I put the names that have been said so far:
- Federico Trillo - Defense
- Isabel Tocino - former Minister of Environment
- Loyola de Palacio - former Minister and current European Commission Vice President
- Laura Howard - Secretary of the Reina Sofia
- Federico Suarez - With significant role in the Zarzuela
- Andres Ollero - Parliamentary Spokesman for Justice and Home Affairs
- Alberto de la Hera - Director General of Religious Affairs
- Jesus Santos - National Audience
- Antonio del Moral - the Supreme
- Ana Botella - Supernumery
- Paco Botella - Brother of Ana Botella

By the way, Paco Bottle is the same person who appointed Jaroslav Pelikan in his testimony?.
